Creating an Organized Navigation System for State and Federal Information

Structured Website Navigation

Creating a well-structured website navigation is essential for improving user experience. Our proposed design will feature a tab for ‘State’ and ‘Federal’, accommodating visitors looking for specific governmental information. The ‘State’ tab will include a drop-down scroll menu that lists all states, making it easy for users to find their specific state.

Detailed Categories for Each Level of Government

Under the ‘State’ section, we’ll incorporate additional tabs: ‘Senate’, ‘House of Representatives’, and ‘Judicial’. This clear categorization will aid users in quickly locating the relevant information they seek. For each category under ‘Senate’, users will be able to access information about members and bills, while the ‘House of Representatives’ will similarly feature options for members and bills. The ‘Judicial’ category will exclusively display information about judicial members.

Enhancing Accessibility with a Search Bar

Additionally, we will include a search bar prominently on the homepage for users who prefer quick access to specific terms or categories. This blend of structured tabs and a powerful search function enhances site usability, ensuring that users can navigate easily through both state and federal information. Our aim is to create a user-friendly experience that allows visitors to efficiently locate the government representatives and legislative bills they are interested in.
