This bill redesignates Chiricahua National Monument in Arizona as Chiricahua National Park. The National Park Service must protect traditional cultural and religious sites in the park and allow members of Indian tribes to access these sites for traditional cultural and customary uses. At the request of an Indian tribe, the National Park Service may temporarily close specific areas of the park to the general public to protect tribal traditional cultural and customary activities, limited to the smallest area needed for the minimum time necessary. Sponsored by Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ).
