The Department of Veterans Affairs must increase disability compensation payments, dependent allowances, and survivor benefits for veterans and their families by the same percentage as the Social Security cost-of-living adjustment effective December 1, 2026. The VA must also publish these adjusted payment rates in the Federal Register. The bill authorizes the VA to make similar adjustments to disability compensation rates for individuals who have not yet received service-connected disability or death benefits. Sen. Jerry Moran (R-KS) introduced the bill with bipartisan cosponsorship.
